The relationships that Jesus has with various people are all for our instruction.
Jesus’s actions are summed up in 1 Cor 9:19-23.
We are to be all things to all people at all times. Giving way for us to be strong caring firm and kind all at the same time.
1. Relationship with His mother
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Exodus 20:12
We on the other hand are not asked to turn water into wine. Many times it simply a kind word or some time out of our busy schedule is all that is needed to honor our parents.
With the growing needs of this world pulling us in all different directions it is easy to neglect or even sometimes completely abandon our parents. This is not honoring them. On the contrary it is a disgrace and very displeasing to our Father in Heaven.
2. Relationship with nature
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalms 19:1
Jesus demonstrates His command over all the world by changing the chemical make up of the water to introduce grapes, yeast time and fermentation. This is not a parlor but a display of Mastery.
We know that nothing is without His scope power and that He is owner and Lord of all.
Just a Jesus commands and loves His creation so should we.
We are not to be servant to this world nor are we to destroy it with neglect.
We see Jesus being the truest form of Love and He uses nature for His benefit all the while caring for all that is in it.
We are to be like minded. Not going out of our way to ruin nature but also understanding that it is for us to Lord over.
3. Relationship with His disciples
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Titus 2:7
Both in His reaction to His mother as well as the miracle of the wine, Jesus led by actions and not word alone.
His actions in accordance to His mother was to delegate jobs and coordinate the proper events to take place.
His actions with the water was to simply will it into wine. The proof of the action is the response of the master of the marriage ceremony.
We all have been given task by our heavenly Father.
We also have been placed in various leadership roles. And for most of us we cannot will things to happen but, we can properly delegate as well as taking action ourselves.
We are to be like Jesus giving proper examples as we walk through this life.
he that hath seen me hath seen the Father John 14:9
relationships with spouse kid with the world is all important but the most important is the one we have with the Father
There is not Heaven without God the Father. There is only darkness and eternal damnation.
Jesus had an extraordinary relationship with His Father. Speaking with Him everyday and seeking His Fathers council for every decision.
What does our relationship with our Heavenly Father look like?
How often do we seek His council?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
We must get to the Father before we can have a relationship with Him and the only way to do that is through His son.
